What do you think about Zoeey Deschanel possibly playing Janis Joplin in a biopic? It's not certain when the film will be out but she's revealed she's been taking singing lessons for several years to try and perfect Janis's voice
AnonymousI’ve been hearing about this for a couple years or so. I don’t know… maybe she could play her, and I do think maybe she could do well with Janis’s normal speaking voice, she kind of sounds like her, but I do admire that she’s trying to perfect her singing voice, even if that’s an impossible task. But I say all this while trying as hard as I can to stop my inner-intense-fan from saying that no one will convince me that they are Janis. I just love Janis so much though, and she and her music has such a big place in my heart, it’s really hard to kind of let this kind of thing go. But this actress seems to be trying really hard to do this well, so good luck to her. :)
